Micro-Storage for Micro-Grids

Energy storage is required for energy independence. Electricity storage however, is not an install and forget type of technology. We have been buried with reports showing how storage is feasible and then how it's not. The bottom line is electricity storage in the form of batteries is feasible but requires daily monitoring and maintenance. And that's where the problem starts - when something requires daily monitoring and maintenance it's possible that a day of neglect becomes days and then weeks and then it's too late. Batteries are a electro-chemical process and are less than perfect. But it's what we have now and can work and do work.
There are plenty of sites using lead-acid battery storage or what we need to call "micro-storage."
